Aman Zhang

Zhang A-man, male, born in 03/1981, Doctor of Engineering, Professor/Doctoral Supervisor of Harbin Engineering University, Head of GF Science and Technology Innovation Team.He graduated from Dalian University of Technology in 2003, and graduated from Harbin Engineering University in 2007 with PhD degree, and was a visiting scholar in 2011 at University College London (UCL), UK.

His main research interests include fluid dynamics, bubble dynamics, and fluid-solid coupling dynamics, and he has undertaken more than 40 scientific research projects such as the National Key Research and Development Program and the National Natural Science Foundation of China.

(1) created the unified equation of bubbles, known as Zhang equation in international academic circles, which describes the basic laws of bubble motion in nature in a simple and beautiful mathematical language, and solves the problem of theoretical prediction of bubble dynamics in different sources, scales and environments.

(2) established the boundary element theory of density potential for near-boundary bubble dynamics, and put forward the model of multi-vortex ring of bubbles with computational methods, which realizes the high accuracy of multi-period kinetic properties of bubbles at near-boundary and the high accuracy of multi-period kinetic characteristics of bubbles at near-boundary. We have realized the high-precision simulation of the multi-period dynamics of bubbles, and solved the problem of calculating the pulsation and jet load of ultra-near-boundary bubbles.

(3) The full coupling model and experimental method of bubbles and interfaces in water have been constructed, revealing the gas-liquid-solid coupling between bubbles and free surface/elastic-plastic/fragile interfaces, and mastering the damage and protection mechanism of bubble collapse, extinction, and radiation pressure wave. The research results have been widely used in the fields of large ships, deep-sea exploration, and transmedia dynamics.

He has published more than 200 academic papers in JFM, JMPS, PRF, JCP and other journals, with more than 10,000 citations, and 10 ESI highly cited papers. He has invented 45 patents, published 3 books and 1 HJ standard. He has received many awards, such as National Innovation Prize, Scientific Exploration Prize, Top 2% Top Scientists in the World List, China Highly Cited Scholars, 1 Second Prize of National Technological Invention, 1 Second Prize of National Scientific and Technological Progress, 1 Second Prize of National Teaching Achievements, and 4 First Prizes of Provincial and Ministerial Levels, and many other awards.

He has received many academic honors, such as Changjiang Scholar Distinguished Professor, National Jieqing Youth, National "Ten Thousand People Plan" Leading Talents, etc. He has made more than 30 invited presentations at important academic conferences, served as a member of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), the head of the national scientific and technological innovation team, the deputy director of the Academic Committee of China Ship Mechanics, and the director of the Academic Journal
